Check Your Fluids
Before you start your car, check your fluids. If you notice a “creamy” residue in your transmission fluid or in your oil, that mean water has been mixed in.
Starting Your Car
It’s kind of a debate if should or shouldn’t start your car after its been flooded. The safest bet is to wait til you have it inspected to avoid possible further damage.

If your car doesn’t start, it’s obvious that you have a problem. However, if your car does start it possible for problems to show up as time goes on. Also, there might be indicator lights to show you a possible problem.
