Why Women In Their 30’s Should NOT Be On Snapchat!

Sometimes it’s not always a good idea to keep up with the youngsters and their technology.  Let me explain a very very good reason why women in their 30’s should not be on Snapchat.

I remember when Snapchat first got popular.  It was said that people have this app so that you could send dirty pics to people and they would only be able to see it for 10 seconds.  Nowadays, the app turned into a lot more.  It was no longer known as the dirty app.

I downloaded the app, but I’ll be honest, I hardly ever used it.  I’d send out snaps every once in awhile when I thought about it, but I am much more of a Facebook or twitter person.  As for checking the snaps that people send me, I’m terrible about that too.

Here’s where  my story starts.  I was sitting at dinner with my boyfriend when I checked my phone for something. He looked over and said, “Hey you got 6 Snapschats!”  Since I never look at the app, I didn’t notice that I had them in the first place.  So we decided to see what they were.

The first snap was from Mo of The Morning Bull who was out at the Josh Abbott Band concert this weekend.  The next snap was from Tracy who was at the at the concert with Mo.  Then there were a couple more snaps from random friends of mine, but then there was the snap from someone I had no idea who they were.  Someone using a screen name of “dirtydaniel” something. The next thing I know is there is a man’s genitalia on my screen.

Needless to say, my boyfriend was less than thrilled by the tiny disappointing man part that just popped up on my phone. Questions arose of how I knew this person, which I didn’t.  And frankly, I don’t know enough about Snapchat to figure out how they sent me that snap in the first place.  I wouldn’t be friends with someone named  “DirtyDaniel___.”

Right then and there we deleted the app, because ain’t nobody got time for that!  It was also at that moment that I decided that women in their 30’s should maybe just stay away from Snapchat.  Add people in serious relationships to the list as well.  I know a lot of people in the public eye are on Snapchat, but I don’t feel like it’s worth it.  Sometimes trying to keep up with the cool kids just may not be worth it.
