Corey’s Diary January 13th, 2014: There Is Something New & Dangerous In My Neighborhood

Dear Diary,

Jeff and I took Loki for a walk on Saturday. It was so gorgeous out. We took a different route back to the house and discovered something new. There is a new bar a block from our house. It is a really cool set-up with a nice patio. Plus, they are going to have food as well.

A bar within walking distance? Dangerous.

I got started on my next cork project. Our coffee table looks rough on the top. So, I am covering it with corks. It looks good so far. I am hoping it comes together and is not too obnoxious.

I had brunch with Erin yesterday. I haven’t seen her since before the holidays. It was wonderful to catch up, but it was sad too.

She told me all about last week and putting her beloved pup down. Erin was a very good mom and I hope she knows she did everything she could.

I got some good sleep over the weekend. However, last night I was up every 20 minutes. There wasn’t anything specific on my mind. I just couldn’t stay asleep. Do you ever have that feeling that something is going to happen or something big is on the horizon?

Or perhaps I ate too much at dinner.
