If you’re headed to the Luke Bryan show tonight plan on getting there early. Construction on I-45 North at the Grand Parkway will have things shut down down over the weekend. Here’s the lowdown.
Acccording to a press release from ZACHRY-ODEBRECHT PARKWAY BUILDERS here’s what expect for I-45 Freeway Closures this weekend.
Construction has moved at a rapid pace for Grand Parkway Segments F-1, F-2 and G. Zachry-Odebrecht has completed substructure work along a portion of the future I-45 N interchange and will begin super-structure work on the northbound mainlanes of the Grand Parkway. As part of the super-structure work, crews are scheduled to set over thirty beams this weekend.
In order to safely set the beams, work crews will implement a total closure of the northbound I-45 N frontage road from FM 2920 to Spring Crossing nightly from 8 pm to 1 pm beginning Friday, September 19 through Sunday, September 21.
In addition, three northbound left mainlanes will be closed from FM 2920 to Spring Stuebner beginning 8 pm Friday, September 19 to 1 pm Saturday, September 20 as well as three southbound left lanes at Spring Crossing from 5 am to 1 pm on Sunday, September 21.
Motorists traveling on the northbound frontage road will be detoured to Spring Stuebner West then to the southbound frontage road to the Louetta turnaround to the I-45 mainlanes.
